PART-TIME ALBERTA LICENSED LAND AGENT POSITION
Cross Canada Land Services Ltd. is seeking a part-time land agent to work in Edmonton, Alberta. The hours are flexible; however, critical timelines must be met. Employees work remotely communicating with management, co-workers and clients via email, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and person-to-person meetings as required.
Must be an experienced land agent that is professional and friendly to clients, co-workers and landowners and their representatives.
Must have the highest level of integrity, adhering to all regulatory requirements for land agents, and all industry land rights related regulations, contractors conduct requirements and keeping accurate records of their time, travel expenses and negotiations with landowners. Monthly reports must be submitted in accordance with specified details in a consistent format and by specified deadlines.
Preference will be given to candidates who have a minimum of 5 years’ experience negotiating both Distribution $1.00 NET and paid Transmission URW Agreements. Ability to negotiate Temporary Work Space Agreements, Damage Claims, and Transmission Power Tower Rental Reviews is also required. Familiarity with both the Power and Water industries would be an asset.
Must be a Commissioner for Oaths in and for the Province of Alberta with experience completing Affidavits of Execution, Affidavits Verifying Corporate Signing Authority, Dower Affidavits, Consent of Spouse, and other affidavits required to meet Land Titles Office registration requirements. Attention to details is required for proper document execution.
Ability to interpret Certificate of Titles and survey plans is required.
Must be able to accommodate landowners’ schedules for availability to review and execute agreements. We try to make negotiations convenient for landowners. All landowner requested revisions to documents must be pre-approved by our clients.
